Brief Summary of Role

Technical writers at Copado create documentation and content that empower customers to get the most of our products. We collaborate closely with other departments, such as product managers, engineers and the UX team to produce high-quality information about our products. Therefore, we are looking for a skilled and versatile Technical Writer to join our Copado documentation team. This role is crucial in creating and maintaining high-quality documents for our documentation portal which accurately describe Copado products and new features. Specifically, this technical writer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the documentation for the Copado Robotic Testing product, working directly with the CRT team to ensure comprehensive coverage of testing features, workflows, best practices and UI texts.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creation of functional documentation for Copado products and features:

• Create clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation for Copado products.
• Maintain and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to gather and understand complex technical information, and translate these technical concepts into easily understandable content.
• Contribute to the development of documentation standards and best practices.

Creation of release notes for new Copado releases and other extension packages:

• Create clear and concise release notes which inform customers about the latest updates on Copado packages.
• Provide accurate information on any steps that customers need to perform in order to install the latest versions of the Copado packages and maintain their features and projects up to date.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle with developers and product managers to ensure timely creation of release notes.

Revision and optimization of UI messages:

• Review and refine user interface (UI) messages, error notifications, field labels and help texts to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Collaborate with UX designers, developers and product managers to improve the overall user experience through clear, concise, and helpful UI texts.

We Are Looking for Someone With

• Experience documenting software for technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in a writing, communications or technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional writing skills.
• An excellent written English level.
• Understanding of the Salesforce Platform
• The ability to simplify complex information.
• Audience sensitivity to tailor content to different audience needs.
• High standard of quality and attention to detail.
• Assertiveness and proactiveness to work on the assigned projects.
• Excellent research skills.
• Strong task management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously under established deadlines.
• Experience with technical writing tools and software.
• Adaptability to new tools and technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Salesforce, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• AI technologies.
• Basic technical knowledge of programming-related practices and processes.
