Brief Summary of Role:
We are seeking a Salesforce Architect, with proven experience designing and integrating Salesforce with external systems, including ETL/data pipelines and backend APIs. You must have a strong understanding of Salesforce core architecture with experience working cross-functionally in Agile teams with the ability to influence architecture at the platform level.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the end-to-end architecture for Salesforce-related initiatives, with an immediate focus on a strategic ETL/data integration project.
- Design scalable and performant Salesforce solutions that integrate seamlessly with backend services and external systems.
- Collaborate closely with full stack engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical architecture.
- Guide the design of APIs, data models, and integration layers between Salesforce and external platforms.
- Define and enforce development standards, security models, and deployment best practices across Salesforce environments.
- Review and approve technical designs, ensuring consistency, reusability, and adherence to platform limits.
- Support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Contribute to architectural governance, roadmap planning, and mentoring of Salesforce developers.
We Are Looking for Someone With:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development and architecture.
- Proven experience designing and integrating Salesforce with external systems, including ETL/data pipelines and backend APIs.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce core architecture, data model, governor limits, and security model.
- Proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, and platform tools such as Flow, Process Builder, and Custom Metadata Types.
- Experience with API design (REST, SOAP) and managing external callouts from Salesforce.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in Agile teams and influence architecture at the platform level.
Nice to Have:
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, CTA candidate).
- Experience with MuleSoft, middleware tools, or enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with DevOps for Salesforce, including tools like Copado, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of data transformation tools and concepts used in ETL or reverse ETL environments.
- Understanding of platform architecture beyond Salesforce (e.g., cloud-native microservices, Node.js backend integration, data pipeline orchestrators).
