Brief Summary of Role

The People Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting employees and managers across the region with day-to-day HR operations. This individual will partner closely with the People Experience Director, EMEA, to ensure smooth employee lifecycle processes, manage payroll and benefits administration, maintain compliance, and provide timely HR support across multiple platforms.

Beyond transactional support, this role requires someone who can work with initiative proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, resolve issues, and shape scalable People Operations practices. While part of a global People team, the role is focused on the EMEA region and will collaborate closely with People Experience Director, EMEA to support business needs.


What You’ll Be Doing

Day-to-Day People Operations

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries across platforms escalating when needed.
  • Own and manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes for EMEA employees, ensuring consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
  • Support immigration administration by liaising with external legal counsel and coordinating required documentation.
  • Draft and issue employee letters and contract addendums (e.g., promotions, role changes, compensation adjustments).
  • Take ownership of maintaining accurate employee data and ensuring compliance with EMEA employment practices, while contributing to improvements in data processes.


Payroll, Leave & Benefits Administration

  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll changes and updates for EMEA employees using Papaya or other external payroll systems.
  • Liaise with the payroll team to escalate payroll-related issues as needed.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits across EMEA, ensuring policies are current, well-communicated, and aligned to local requirements.
  • Manage regional leave policies (holiday, sick leave, parental leave), tracking requests and providing accurate reporting for payroll and compliance.


Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work in close partnership with the People Experience Director, EMEA, to align on regional People priorities, share insights, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with People Business Partners, Finance, and Legal to ensure alignment on HR processes and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes, driving efficiency and scalability across the EMEA region.
  • Support global People initiatives/projects while tailoring policies and processes to meet local needs.


We Are Looking for Someone With

  • Experience in People Operations/HR administration, ideally within an international and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of EMEA employment practices, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong eye for detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of employee support.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to improve processes and suggest efficiencies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
